1. Z4 and X3 often use 188L / 168L differential type, although the catalog may show 188K / 168K.
2. Many BMW models produced after 2008 use 188LW / 215LW, although catalogs may show 188L / 215L.
3. BMW E36 Compact production year 2000 often uses 188K, although the catalog may simply show 188mm.

• Inspect the inner surface of the small spider gears before installation. The surface must be smooth and undamaged.
• If the surface is worn, it should be machined for proper operation and durability.
• BMW models produced after 2008 often have a welded ring gear. For aftermarket LSD installation, including RacingDiffs, the ring gear must be machined off the carrier unit.
