• Mark ring gear and carrier before disassembly; keep side adjusters/shims with their original sides.
• Follow the provided stack order and orientation arrows; lubricate plates with LSD oil during assembly.
• Set backlash and carrier preload to Toyota spec; verify the gear contact pattern with marking compound.
• Recommended oil: quality 75W-90 or 75W-140 GL-5 LSD oil (clutch-type safe). No extra friction modifier is usually required with our plates.
• After install, perform gentle figure-8 bedding for 10–15 minutes to stabilize breakaway torque.

Will this fix a noisy/weak LSD?
Yes—worn plates are the main cause of low lock and chatter. Replacing the stack and setting preload typically restores quiet, consistent operation.

Do I need new bearings and seals?
If there’s play/noise in the carrier or pinion, add a bearing & seal kit to your order. This clutch kit focuses on the LSD pack.
